UNITY FULFILLED

What I do, some one can do, and do it better. What is our value, if we compare our abilities and gifting? On a scale, if we are very competitive and we think we have to reach the excellency of human perfection, there will always be some one better. My excellency is not to achieve the best method or technique of preaching; of traveling; of making money; the best method of obtaining an education, but my excellency comes when I know the value of my life. Any one can preach, but no one can become me. What is important? It is not my preaching that gets me into heaven. I need to grow, and I need to make any sacrifice, so that I might grow into the knowledge and into the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some of us make great sacrifices for things, but we do not grow and are not stretched. We pay a price for our growth. Many times David, my husband, and I have decided to release each other for growth. When we go through times of separation, God helps us to grow because we know the value of each other’s lives. David has released me, and has never stood in the way of what I felt called to do because he saw the value of my life, not the value of my ministry. My life was more valuable to him than just being a wife and mother. I was born for a purpose and a destiny. Where is our value as a husband; as a wife; as a mother; as a single; as a married person? Barnabas gave away his wealth because his life was more valuable. Some of us are crippled because of our wealth. Our life is only valuable because of our bank account, our position or our image.

In John 17:23 it speaks of the third type of perfection: “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me” That perfection has nothing to do with growth because as we grow we will be consummated. When we come into unity, that unity has nothing to do with organization or compromises or agreement. Unity and agreement are two things. We can agree with somebody without having unity. God says agree with your adversary while on the way. (Matthew 5:25) When two or three agree in my name, it shall be done. (Matthew 18; 19) Agreement is an outer confession that gives us power, but unity has nothing to do with agreement. Unity has something to do with inner growth. God does not have unity with a baby bride. We have to come to a growth of an understanding that God is to be unified with us, so that everything is consummated, to be made perfect or fulfilled in every detail. I am fulfilled when I am in unity with you and we become one as a body, so that God’ purpose might be fulfilled in every detail in our lives.

Some of us are partially fulfilled, but not in every detail. Unity has to be born from within through growth, maturity, and the power of God. We have met people that we instantly felt a unity with, regardless what language they spoke. We don’t need to know their doctrine. Agreement and power do not show the world what we are, only a unity born out of the Spirit of God. Not that we all become alike, but that unity fills us in every detail.
In His Love,
